At the invitation of universities in New Zealand and Australia, the university delegation led by Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector - visited and worked with Auckland University of Technology, Victoria University - Wellington (New Zealand) and University of New South Wales (Australia) from December 10 to December 16, 2011.On December 12, 2011, Prof. Niegel Hamilton - Vice President of Auckland University of Technology - received the delegation of the school. The two schools signed a cooperation agreement with the following contents: student exchange, lecturer exchange, organizing seminars and implementing joint training programs. Also during this working session, the two sides agreed to implement the following cooperation programs: Organizing English classes for staff of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities
- Building a joint training program for 2+2 bachelor's degree in Tourism Management awarded by Auckland University of Technology
- Coordinated the organization of a short-term course on Event Management at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities
- Co-organize a conference on sea tourism in Vietnam
- Building research programs on Public Policy
- USSH supports the development of a Vietnamese studies training program at Auckland University of Technology
Auckland University of Technology (abbreviated AUT) currently has 20,000 students and postgraduates, publishes 800 scientific papers annually and is one of the leading schools in New Zealand education. On December 15, 2011, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh visited and worked with Victoria University - Wellington. Prof. Rob Rabel (Vice President of Victoria University - Wellington) together with professors from the Faculty of Languages and Applied Foreign Languages, Faculty of Administration, received the delegation and discussed cooperation contents including:
- Coordinate the development of a joint training program for bachelor's degree 1.5+2, master's degree in Public Policy, Public Management awarded by Victoria University
- Help train English for staff of University of Social Sciences and Humanities
- Collaborative Research in Psychology
Victoria University – Wellington is one of the leading universities in New Zealand and is ranked in the top 300 universities in the world according to QS. The total number of undergraduate and postgraduate students studying at the university is 22,310, including 2,500 international students. Following the visits and work at two leading universities in New Zealand, on December 15, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh went to Australia and on December 16 visited the Korean Institute of the University of New South Wales (Australia) and discussed cooperation plans for the period 2011 - 2015. In the past 5 years (2006-2010), the university has cooperated with the Korean Institute to carry out administrative reform research programs in comparison with Southeast Asian countries and Korea. In addition, the two sides also discussed plans to organize a conference on administrative reform and Korean studies in Hanoi, scheduled for August 2012 with the participation of leading universities in Southeast Asia, the Central Institute of Korean Studies and the Korean Foundation. The visit and working trip of the school delegation was a great success, opening up new directions for cooperation, building international-level joint training programs and further promoting the cooperative relationship between the school and universities in Australia and New Zealand.
