Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University - had a meeting and working session with Mr. Liu Tam Chan - Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Vietnam - and staff from the cultural department of the Chinese Embassy on January 27, 2011.
Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University - had a meeting and working session with Mr. Liu Tam Chan - Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Vietnam - and staff from the cultural department of the Chinese Embassy on January 27, 2011.During the meeting, both sides focused on strengthening academic exchange and cooperation between the University and Chinese universities and research institutes, specifically through organizing international scientific conferences and exchanging experiences in university management. Representatives from the Chinese Embassy stated they would continue to support and assist in upgrading classroom equipment for Chinese students. They also pledged to encourage more Chinese students to study Vietnamese language and culture, as well as social sciences and humanities majors at the University; and to introduce and provide scholarships for students and young staff to study and conduct research at universities in China. On behalf of the University leadership, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh expressed his gratitude and hoped for more exchange and cooperation activities in the future. On this occasion, the Chinese Embassy donated 356 books in Chinese and English to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
