On February 21, 2011, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Vice Rector of the University - along with representatives from the Faculty of Oriental Studies, held a meeting and working session with a delegation from Valaya Alongkorn University.
On February 21, 2011, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Vice Rector of the University - along with representatives from the Faculty of Oriental Studies, held a meeting and working session with a delegation from Valaya Alongkorn University.The meeting focused on discussions regarding student and faculty exchange between the two universities. They also discussed jointly establishing short-term programs and courses in Thai and Vietnamese languages. During the meeting, Associate Professor Somsiri Arunothai, Vice Rector of Valaya Alongkorn University, invited the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to co-organize an international environmental conference, tentatively scheduled for February 2012. Associate Professor Vu Duc Nghieu thanked Valaya Alongkorn University for their visit and for awarding two scholarships to students from the Faculty of Oriental Studies to participate in a postgraduate program at Valaya Alongkorn University in June. In addition, the Vice Rector proposed several ideas for future collaborations between the two universities, including joint research on pressing issues such as environmental protection in the lower Mekong River basin, deforestation, and uncontrolled migration.
