With its core business being retail, AEON Group, comprising 180 member companies, operates with the aim of improving people's lives and providing a range of services from shopping malls, department stores, and supermarkets to fashion stores, financial services, and entertainment facilities, from its domestic market in Japan to its expanding market networks in China and Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam.
Alongside its investment and business activities, AEON also focuses on supporting Vietnamese students by awarding numerous scholarships. These scholarships are funded by a contribution of 1% of the pre-tax profits of the companies within the Group.

During the meeting, Rector Pham Quang Minh provided an overview of the achievements in training and scientific research of the university's staff and students. He also discussed future cooperation between the university and AEON Group with the General Director, alongside the scholarship program for students. In addition, the Rector extended his congratulations to Mr. Yukio Konishi, former General Director, on successfully completing his duties in Vietnam.
The new General Director of AEONMALL Vietnam, Yasutsugu Iwamura, expressed his sincere gratitude to Principal Pham Quang Minh for taking the time to receive the delegation and affirmed that he will cooperate with the school in the future.
Since 2012, AEON Group has awarded 105 scholarships to 105 students of the University, with a total scholarship value of USD 30,450. These scholarships have served as a source of encouragement and material support for students to overcome life's difficulties and excel in their studies. Many students, after receiving the scholarships, have used the funds effectively for their studies, scientific research, completing their graduation theses, and graduating with honors. Many of these students have been recruited to work at AEON within approximately four months of graduation.
