Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) said that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a leading university in training and research in the field of social sciences and humanities. The University currently has 16 faculties, 12 centers and research institutes as well as more than 10,000 students and trainees of all levels and training systems. In 1995, the University established the Department of Chinese Studies under the Faculty of Oriental Studies and conducted training from bachelor to doctoral levels in Chinese studies. Many Chinese students have studied majors such as International Studies, Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University within the framework of the 1+3 and 2+2 training programs.
Professor Niu Junkai said that Zhongshan University wishes to further strengthen the exchange relationship between the two schools through activities such as lecturer exchanges, as well as exchanges and meetings between students of the two schools. In particular, Professor Niu Junkai proposed to organize a joint seminar on the history of Vietnam-China relations in the fields of politics, education, and culture at Zhongshan University. The seminar is expected to take place in April 2018. This activity will contribute to enhancing understanding and relations between the two schools as well as between Vietnam and China.

In response, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan pledged that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities would send staff from various majors to attend and contribute reports to the conference. At the same time, the Vice President hoped that Zhongshan University would send staff and students to the University to study upcoming programs such as Southeast Asian studies.
Also during the working session, Professor Ngu Quan Khai visited the Museum of Anthropology of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Sun Yat-sen University Sun Yat-sen University is a national key university and a famous university in the People's Republic of China. It is a university directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. The university has 45 colleges and 8 departments with 116 undergraduate majors, two 4th degree majors, 52 majors for master's candidates and 4,783 majors for doctoral candidates. While still focusing on basic sciences, the university has also paid special attention to the development of applied sciences.
