Taking the entrance exam to the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, with a total score of 25, 17-year-old girl Pham Phuong Ly became the valedictorian of block D at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2010.Meeting Phuong Ly in a small house deep in an alley in Dong Da district - Hanoi, our first impression of Ly was that she was a pretty girl, with a pretty face, intelligent and very individualistic. Holding the successful candidate's summons in her hand, Ly said: At that time, I was very surprised, I didn't think I would get this many points and even less thought I would be the valedictorian of the D block of the school. It was also a surprise when we learned that Ly studied in the A block at Kim Lien High School (Hanoi) but registered for the D block university entrance exam. Sharing with us, she said: Since grade 9, every day on the way home from school, I passed the Academy of Journalism and dreamed of passing the university entrance exam to a journalism school. I really like being on TV as an MC. Therefore, not only did Ly study well in the subjects in the A block class, she also tried her best and studied more Literature and English to prepare for the journey to conquer her dream.

Before the university entrance exam, I submitted 7 applications to different schools, including schools in group A. I was hesitant to choose between the faculties of Television Journalism, Public Relations (Academy of Journalism and Propaganda) and the Faculty of Journalism and Communication (University of Social Sciences and Humanities), and finally I decided to take the entrance exam to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with the hope of having a solid knowledge foundation after graduation. According to Ly's father - Mr. Pham Ngoc Hoi - Ly's mother passed away when Ly was 11 years old, so now there are only 2 of us. Her father works at a traffic design consulting company, his job is quite busy, he doesn't have much time for her. However, since she was little, Ly has been very independent, knows how to take care of herself and assert herself. She chooses everything about her studies, from what subjects to study, where to study and which teachers to study with, all by herself. Ly's father completely trusts his lovely daughter. So when she decided to take the journalism exam, even though she didn't want her child to have a hard time in the future, because of her passion, her father agreed. Talking about her study method, Phuong Ly shared: In addition to the time spent in class, she arranged her own study at home. For Literature, she focused on learning basic knowledge in textbooks and referring to some basic books on Literature. But she didn't read many different types of books, she was afraid that her knowledge would be diluted. In grade 12, she focused on studying extra to accumulate knowledge for the university entrance exam. To prepare for her upcoming studies in a new environment, Ly went online to learn about some subjects in her first year of university. And she also read some books about journalism and PR. In addition, she also went to the school's website to learn about the opportunity to study for a dual degree. In the near future, she will study photography. Sharing about her career plans, she said: I like public relations. After the first year, I will apply for an internship at a media company. And I will try to learn more English to serve my future career better./.
