Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-Hanoi) has received notification from Harvard-Yenching Academy regarding the participation of VNU-Hanoi staff in research programs at the Academy in the social sciences and humanities.

1. Short-term scholarship program

• Social Sciences and Humanities
• Study time: 11 months
• English proficiency: Fluent

2. Scholarship program for graduate students

• Major in Social Sciences and Humanities (East Asian Studies preferred)
• Study time: 03 semesters
• Candidates are currently pursuing doctoral studies at their current workplace.
• English proficiency: TOEFL certificate (500 points or higher) must be submitted to the Academy before September 1, 2009

3. Doctoral Scholarship Program

• Social Sciences and Humanities
• Duration of specialized studies (excluding thesis writing time): 3.5 years
• English proficiency: TOEFL certificate (550 points or higher); GRE certificate must be sent to students before October 15, 2009.
