Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-Hanoi) has received notification from Harvard-Yenching Academy regarding the participation of VNU-Hanoi staff in research programs at the Academy in the social sciences and humanities.

1. Short-term scholarship program

• Social Sciences and Humanities
• Duration of study: 11 months
• English proficiency: Fluent

2. Scholarship program for graduate students

• Major in Social Sciences and Humanities (East Asian Studies preferred)
• Duration of study: 3 semesters
• Candidates are currently pursuing doctoral studies at their current workplace.
• English proficiency: A TOEFL certificate (500 points or higher) must be submitted to the Academy before September 1st, 2009.

3. Doctoral Scholarship Program

• Social Sciences and Humanities
• Duration of specialized studies (excluding thesis writing time): 3.5 years
• English proficiency: TOEFL certificate (550 points or higher); GRE certificates must be submitted to students before October 15, 2009.
