XXI Student Scientific Conference - Faculty of Library Information

Attending the conference were Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Vice Principal of the school; MSc. Doan Viet Hai - Department of Scientific Research Management.

As for the honorary guests, the conference was attended by MSc. Kieu Thuy Nga - Director of the National Library of Vietnam; MSc. Nguyen Huu Gioi - Standing Member of the Vietnam Library Association, former Deputy Director of the Library Department - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Pham Van Vu - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association for Scientific and Technological Information; representatives of the Vietnam Library Magazine, representatives of the Library Information Magazine.

Conference overview

The Faculty of Library Information has Dr. Nguyen Van Hung - Head of the Faculty; MSc. Tran Thi Thanh Van - Deputy Head of the Faculty; Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Quy - Chairman of the Scientific Research Council of the Faculty of Library Information, Former Head of the Faculty of Library Information. In addition, the conference was also attended by graduate students and students interested in scientific research.

The conference had the participation of 12 scientific research reports from students and student groups. Most of the research topics revolved around issues specific to the Library Information industry.

Dr. Nguyen Van Hung - Head of Library Information Department gave comments and contributions to complete the research articles.

Specifically, the 12 topics all focus on researching and exploiting issues such as: books, library management systems, information capacity in schools, etc. Each graduate student will present their report in a limited time, then the evaluation board will comment and ask questions to improve the research paper.

MSc. Kieu Thuy Nga - Director of the National Library of Vietnam shares about the practicality of book-related topics when preparing for the celebration of Vietnam Book Day (April 21).

According to the general comments of the evaluation council, the topics participating in this report are all highly practical and have specific application objects, and at the same time exploit many new aspects of the Library Information industry.
