[Photo series] Launch of Religious Studies Department

On April 24, 2017, at the 8th floor hall of Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the launching ceremony of the Department of Religious Studies and the reception of the decisions to appoint the Department's leaders took place.

Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, presented the appointment decision to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Kim Oanh (left) - Head of the Department of Religious Studies, Dr. Nguyen Thi To Uyen (right) - Deputy Head of the Department of Religious Studies.

Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, spoke at the ceremony.

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Kim Oanh gave a speech after being appointed as Head of the Department of Religious Studies.

 

The ceremony was also attended by representatives of Vietnamese churches:

Most Venerable Dr. Thich Gia Quang - Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha delivered a congratulatory speech

Priest Phan Van Tu - Vice President of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee, Editor-in-Chief of the Catholic newspaper delivered a congratulatory speech.

Pastor Ma Phuc Thanh Tuoi - Pastor of the Protestant Church, Head of the Protestant Representative Board in Quang Nam delivered a congratulatory speech.

Mr. Mieu Abbas - Head of the Hanoi Muslim Community delivered a congratulatory speech.

Most Venerable Dr. Thich Minh Nhan - Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Kien Giang province, representing training and research partners with the Department of Religious Studies, gave a speech.

Mr. Le Hoang Sam, Training Director of My Son Group, awarded 5 scholarships with a total value of 25 million VND to the 5 most outstanding students.

The performance "Guests come to visit the house" by K61 Religious Studies students welcomes

Nguyen Duy Cuong, former student of Religious Studies class 54, performs the song The Teacher.
