Launching ceremony of the 2017 "Student Ambassador" program

On the afternoon of April 7, 2017, the 2017 “Student Ambassador” Program was officially launched with a solemn launching ceremony. Attending the launching ceremony were Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu - Head of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs, Dr. Pham Huy Cuong - Deputy Head of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs.

This year's "Student Ambassador" program was launched with the official participation of 199 volunteers selected from the University's majors. The 199 volunteers come from 15 provinces/cities in the Northern and North Central regions including: Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Ha Nam, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Thai Binh, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa and Vinh Phuc.

At the launching ceremony, the representative of the Executive Board of “Student Ambassadors” presented the implementation plan. Accordingly, this year’s program continues to be deployed to 140 high schools in the area with the following forms through the volunteer team:

- Distribute admission information leaflets in classrooms, post posters on bulletin boards, and set up counseling desks at high schools.

- Coordinate with high schools to implement direct counseling activities for students.

- Online consultation for students on admission registration, answering questions about majors and other support.

With the sponsorship of Oxford English UK Vietnam English Center, this year's "Student Ambassador" program continues to focus more on visual communication for activities and images for volunteers through products such as: uniforms, badges, designing representative images for volunteers on available Frames...

The new point this year is that not only do the "Student Ambassadors" stop at going to high schools to introduce and answer questions about the school's admission information, but after the official admission results are available, the volunteers will contact high schools to receive the list of students admitted to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and carry out support work for new students such as: Admission support, accommodation support...

In his speech assigning tasks, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu emphasized the role and responsibility of volunteers for the school's admissions consulting activities, for the high schools they attended, and for their hometowns where they were born and raised. At the same time, the Executive Board believes that the "Student Ambassadors" will successfully complete their tasks, creating a friendly and close image with the students.

Doan Thi Trang - Captain of the "Student Ambassador" Team of Hai Phong City represented the volunteers to give a speech accepting the mission and promised to work with the volunteers to excellently fulfill their role.

Also at the ceremony, the representative of the Executive Board of "Student Ambassadors" symbolically presented the Admissions Documents of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to the 15 Team Captains of the 15 Teams.

Right after the Launching Ceremony, the teams immediately started to carry out their missions. With a strong desire to inspire and full of youthful enthusiasm,We have complete trust and confidence in the 2017 “Student Ambassadors”.
