On the afternoon of April 7, 2017, the 2017 "Student Ambassador" Program officially launched with a solemn opening ceremony. Attending the ceremony were Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu - Head of the Political and Student Affairs Department, and Dr. Pham Huy Cuong - Deputy Head of the Political and Student Affairs Department.

This year's "Student Ambassador" program is being implemented with the official participation of 199 volunteers selected from various academic disciplines at the University. These 199 volunteers come from 15 provinces/cities in the Northern and North Central regions of Vietnam, including: Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Ha Nam, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Thai Binh, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, and Vinh Phuc.
At the launch ceremony, representatives from the "Student Ambassador" Steering Committee presented the implementation plan. Accordingly, this year's program will continue to be implemented in 140 high schools in the area through the following forms of volunteer work:
- Distribute admission information leaflets in classrooms, post posters on bulletin boards, and set up counseling desks at high school locations.
- Collaborate with high schools to implement direct counseling services for students.
- Providing online counseling to students regarding application procedures, answering questions about majors, and offering other support.
With the sponsorship of Oxford English UK Vietnam, this year's "Student Ambassador" program continues to focus more on visual communication for the activities and for the volunteers through products such as: uniforms, ID badges, and designed images representing the volunteers on pre-made frames…


A new feature this year is that the "Student Ambassadors" will not only visit high schools to introduce and answer questions about the university's admissions information, but after the official admission results are announced, the volunteers will contact the high schools to receive the list of students admitted to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and proceed with supporting new students such as: assisting with enrollment, helping with accommodation, etc.

In his assignment speech, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu emphasized the role and responsibility of the volunteers towards the university's admissions counseling activities, towards the high schools they attended, and towards their hometowns where they were born and raised. At the same time, the Executive Board expressed confidence that the "Student Ambassadors" would excellently fulfill their duties, creating a friendly and approachable image with the students.
Ms. Doan Thi Trang, the team leader of the "Student Ambassador" team of Hai Phong City, represented the volunteers in accepting the assignment and promised to work with the volunteers to fulfill their roles excellently.


Also at the ceremony, representatives of the "Student Ambassador" Executive Board symbolically presented the University of Social Sciences and Humanities' admissions materials to the 15 team leaders of the 15 teams.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, the teams began carrying out their tasks. Driven by a burning desire to inspire others and overflowing with youthful enthusiasm,We have complete trust and confidence in the "Student Ambassadors" of 2017.
