Conference on Dissemination of Law and Summary of Inspection and Legal Work in the 2016-2017 School Year

Attending the conference were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Party Secretary, Vice Principal of the School) and 129 delegates representing leaders of training units, functional departments, centers, Youth Union - Student Association, training assistants of all systems, assistants of CT & CTSV, inspectors of units and the School Trade Union Executive Committee, Department Trade Union, and School Trade Union Inspection Committee.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim delivered the opening speech at the conference.

At the beginning of the Conference, the School invited MSc. Dieu Ba Duoc (Head of Vietnam Social Insurance Policy Department) to disseminate some new regulations of the Vietnam Social Insurance Law (amended) effective from January 1, 2018. Following that, the Conference also listened to the reporters disseminate some management documents and legal documents issued in the past regarding training, staff organization, training quality assurance and student affairs.

In the second part, delegates listened to the draft Summary Report on inspection and legal work in the 2016-2017 school year and contributed many practical opinions on the inspection and legal work of the School.

Under the direction of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors, in the 2016-2017 school year, the Inspection and Legal Affairs Department closely coordinated with functional departments, units, and socio-political organizations in the school to carry out internal inspection and supervision of all aspects of activities; promptly handle a number of issues such as verifying diplomas and certificates, resolving complaints and denunciations, detecting and handling violations of discipline, regulations, and rules, etc.

Legal work in the 2016-2017 school year has been strongly promoted in many forms, while also going deeper into understanding and protecting the legal interests of the University's staff and lecturers. The Inspection and Legal Department also coordinated with units in the University to inspect and review the implementation of State and VNU regulations; report and make recommendations to VNU on existing problems and limitations in the implementation of State regulations and VNU's management and administration documents.

Thanks to the excellent completion of the above tasks, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is considered the leading unit in VNU in inspection and legal work.
