The Faculty of Journalism and Communication is one of the two prestigious journalism and communication training institutions in the country. The Faculty currently offers undergraduate programs in Journalism and Public Relations, as well as master's and doctoral programs in Journalism. Recently, the Faculty developed an applied-oriented Master's program in Journalism and began enrolling students in 2017. The Faculty is also active in international cooperation, implementing a joint undergraduate program with Guangxi University (China), a Master's program in Media Management with Stirling University (UK), the "Support for the Development of Journalism Training Schools in Vietnam" project (funded by the SASAKAWA Peace Foundation, Japan), the Vietnamese History Research project (funded by the Toyota Foundation), the MediaPro project – building a framework for journalism training programs according to international standards (funded by the British Council), and a project to enhance the capacity of young journalists (funded by the US Embassy)…

Despite its relatively young age, the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities has quickly become a prestigious scientific journal in the field of social sciences and humanities. The journal has a rigorous peer review process with a panel of reputable domestic and international experts. Articles are published in both Vietnamese and English. The journal serves as a platform for publishing the latest research by scientists both domestically and internationally. Its development orientation is to become a scientific journal of regional and international stature, thereby promoting the international standing of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in its academic activities.

The Center for Journalism and Communication Studies is responsible for providing practical training for students majoring in Journalism and Communication and for carrying out communication activities for the School and Hanoi National University. The Center contributes to enhancing students' practical skills and promoting a training orientation that is closely linked to practice. The Center also helps bring the image of the School closer to society.

The Journal of Policy and Management Research of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) has been operating since 2015 and is organized and implemented by the Institute of Policy and Management.
