This morning, June 30, 2017, Prof. Dr. Phung Huu Phu (Head of the Faculty of Political Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU) and Prof. Dr. Detlef Briesen (Heinrich Heine University of Düsseldorf - Germany) signed a memorandum of understanding to promote cooperation in the fields of research and teaching.

Accordingly, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Heinrich Heine University, Dusseldorf (Germany) and the Faculty of Political Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU will sign a memorandum of understanding to promote cooperation on the following contents: Connecting scientific research activities; Exchange of scientific research works and information; Exchange of researchers, lecturers and students between the two faculties; Cooperating to organize scientific conferences and seminars.

Around April 2017, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Principal of the School, during his visit and work in Germany, signed this agreement with the Principal of Heinrich Heine University of Düsseldorf - Germany.

Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Phung Huu Phu sent his sincere thanks to Prof. Dr. Detlef Briesen, who regularly came to teach, exchange, connect and support the Faculty of Political Science.

Through the cooperation process, the cooperation between the two units has increasingly developed smoothly, gradually becoming more systematic and formal.

Professor Phung Huu Phu hopes that Professor Detlef Briesen will always consider the Faculty of Political Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities as his own faculty and school.

Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Detlef Briesen also expressed his joy at participating in this signing ceremony. Prof. Dr. Detlef Briesen assessed this as a very meaningful activity for the relationship between the two sides.

Before this cooperation agreement, the two units had already cooperated with each other: organizing two scientific seminars; two book publishing projects; researchers of the department also went to Germany to exchange and work. The agreement will open up many new opportunities for the two units to continue developing this cooperation.

It is expected that from now until December, the two units can coordinate a workshop on the topic of political communication and digital governance. Researchers from the faculty, together with researchers from Europe, can approach from the perspective of political science, political economy, etc.

Currently, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf is also making adjustments to facilitate the exchange of students and graduate students, so the two units can further promote this activity. Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf also has many scholarships for undergraduate and master's degrees, if students and students of the faculty have a need, they can register.
