Under the direction of the Hanoi City Youth Union and the official dispatch of the National University, on June 20, the Youth Volunteer Team of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a launching ceremony to prepare for the 2017 exam support campaign. This year, the team supported candidates for the National High School Exam at the Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. Working with the team at this exam site was the Executive Committee of the Trung Hoa - Cau Giay Ward Youth Union and the close direction of relevant officials.

On the afternoon of June 21, the team sent people to the exam site to guide the candidates to check in and get their registration numbers. At the same time, the team also went to the Trung Hoa Ward Youth Cultural House to receive items for the relay work including: hats, shirts, drinks, food, fans, etc.

On the morning of the first exam day, the team arrived very early to prepare equipment and supplies, as well as to welcome candidates and their parents. This year, the Shock Team launched the exam support campaign with 45 members, including 2 collaborators. The team's work during the 3 exam days included: guiding candidates and their parents into the exam room; delivering food and drinks to candidates and their parents before and after the exam; guiding parents to park their vehicles, preparing water for parents while waiting for candidates; directing traffic during rush hour, welcoming candidates when the exam ended;... At the same time, the team also followed the direction of the Exam Support Coordination Board from the Youth Union Executive Committee of Trung Hoa Ward to handle other arising tasks.

This year's exam support work has many advantages. If in previous years, the team had to coordinate with many agencies to find and advise on accommodation for parents and candidates from the countryside to the city to take the exam, this year, this work has been reduced to a minimum.

However, the team also encountered difficulties when the high school campuses in the city were quite small and all the relay work had to take place on the sidewalk. With experience, the Youth Union assigned people to direct traffic at the exam site to avoid traffic jams and to relay the candidates smoothly.

Thanh Long - Head of the exam season support work of the Youth Volunteer Team - University of Social Sciences and Humanities said: "Although the support work is difficult, especially at noon and in the afternoon when the heat becomes intense, the students are all very eager for this work. No one seems tired or bored with the work they are doing". This is probably a special point that makes the Youth Volunteer Team always loved wherever they go. That is, they are always aware of their responsibility in the work and no matter how hard or tired they are, the smile on their lips never fades.

By the end of the 3rd exam day (June 24), the Team will finish the relay work and meet to review experiences for the next admission seasons.
