Signing of Memorandum of Cooperation with Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University (Thailand)

At the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh expressed his honor to sign the cooperation agreement between the USSH and Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University as the President of the University. The President affirmed that expanding international relations with foreign universities is part of the strategy of regionalization and internationalization of the University's training programs. In the coming years, the University will invest more in Southeast Asian Studies, including Thai Studies, and hopes to receive more Thai students to study and research. The good relationship between the two sides will also contribute to the development of the ASEAN Community in general.

On behalf of the host country, Associate Professor Dr. Linda Gainma (President of Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University) agreed with the opinions of Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh and hoped that after signing the cooperation agreement, the relationship between the two sides would become increasingly diverse and improve in quality. Associate Professor Dr. Linda Gainma also invited Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh and researchers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to attend the conference taking place on July 29 at Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University.

Next, the leaders of the two sides signed an official cooperation agreement, according to which the two sides will focus on the following activities: exchanging excellent teachers and students to promote Vietnamese-Thai language training programs through short-term programs, 2+2, 3+2; exchanging research information; exchanging lecturers and staff; organizing cultural exchanges. The Cooperation and Development Office will be the focal point for implementing specific cooperation activities between the two sides.

Recently, from April 30 to May 12, 2017, within the framework of the student exchange program among countries in the ASEAN community, a group of students from Bansomdejchaopraya Rajbhat University (Thailand) spent time in Vietnam, participating in the program "Learning language and culture" with students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU. On May 12, President Pham Quang Minh directly awarded certificates to 23 students from Bansomdejchaopraya Rajbhat University (Thailand) participating in this program.
