Opening Ceremony of the Postgraduate Program, Course QH-2017-X

On November 9th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the opening ceremony for the postgraduate training course QH-2017-X.

Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thu Thuy (Deputy Head of the Training Department of Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan – Vice Rector of the university, delivered a speech at the program.

On behalf of the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thu Hoa (Deputy Head of the Training Department) announced the decisions and official letters recognizing the admission of doctoral and master's students for the 2017 academic year. This year, the University has 510 doctoral and master's students admitted, including 87 doctoral students admitted in the first round of 2017, 15 doctoral students admitted in the second round, and 7 foreign doctoral students; 154 master's students admitted in the first round, 225 master's students admitted in the second round, and 21 foreign master's students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Rector Hoang Anh Tuan extended his congratulations to the new doctoral and master's students of the QH-2017-X cohort. He shared: In this new academic year, the university has adjusted the training process, the way subjects are organized, and shortened the study time to 6 to 8 months. The goal is to ensure a highly focused training process, but with a professional, modern, and friendly approach that is highly service-oriented for learners.

PhD candidate Dinh Van Nhac – specializing in Political Science – spoke on behalf of the new students at the program.

New doctoral and master's students presented flowers to congratulate Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan and Associate Professor Le Thi Thu Thuy (Deputy Heads of Training Department, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) on November 20th.

At the end of the ceremony, on behalf of the new doctoral and master's students, doctoral student Dinh Van Nhac (majoring in Political Science) expressed his gratitude for the University's attention and support in arranging and organizing a suitable training process for the students. He also shared that to achieve good academic results and graduate on schedule, doctoral and master's students need to clearly define their learning goals in terms of knowledge, skills, and attitude; foster a positive, proactive, and creative spirit in their studies; enhance self-study and research; and strictly adhere to academic discipline and regulations in a formal university environment.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, postgraduate students and graduate students were briefed on the training regulations for the new academic year and completed the enrollment procedures.
