Seminar "Information management human resources - factor of revolution 4.0".

Speaking at the seminar, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan expressed the interest of the school's leaders in the development of Information Management in the era of the 4.0 revolution. Accordingly, the more society develops, the more small and medium enterprises need high-quality information management human resources. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is always a pioneer in training high-quality majors, meeting the needs and goals of providing human resources for society and businesses. Therefore, in the coming time, with the attention and support of organizations, especially Bao Ninh Investment Company Limited, the school will develop a training program framework for a new major - Information Management and assign the Faculty of Library Information to implement the training. This seminar is an important stepping stone for the School to listen to and absorb the opinions of the speakers - experts and leading officials in the field of information and communication - to develop training program content that is not only suitable for the development orientation of the School but also suitable for the recruitment needs of businesses.

Delegates discussed the main contents: Context and trends of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in Vietnam and around the world; Research on labor market needs, core competency framework for information management capacity of information management human resources; Building training programs and output orientation for information management human resources.

Opinions at the seminar stated that the nature of the 4.0 technology revolution is based on the integration of digital technology and all smart technologies to optimize processes and production methods. Countries, organizations, and businesses all need a team of information management personnel to be able to manage and exploit existing information resources. Effective information management will bring positive impacts to businesses such as: increasing value for services provided to customers; minimizing risks in operations; reducing costs in operations and service provision; encouraging innovation in internal operations and providing services to external parties.

Researchers also emphasized the fact that many universities in the world have long taught Information Management, so opening a training program for Information Management in Vietnam is extremely necessary.

Experts also provide data and research reports on the labor market to help build a core competency framework for human resources in the Information Management industry. The training program and output orientation for human resources in this industry are highly applicable, using the theoretical background of many other scientific fields such as: Sociology, Economics, Business Administration, Management Science, Library Information, Data Science, Political Science, Journalism, Communications...

The Bachelor of Information Management training program at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi is built according to the socialization model with the cooperation of Bao Ninh Investment Company. It is expected that the program will be taught in both Vietnamese and English, of which 30% of specialized subjects will be taught directly in a foreign language. The program framework, output standards and enrollment plan will be proposed by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to Vietnam National University, Hanoi in the near future.
