Like all other social sciences and humanities, theory is always a fundamental and indispensable component in the study and application of international relations. The book "Theory of International Relations," edited by Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Khac Nam, is an attempt to contribute to filling the theoretical gap in international relations in our country.
This book compiles and systematizes the fundamental theories and main arguments concerning current international relations. It comprises nine chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the basic issues of international relations theory, such as its concept, purpose, classification, and the process of its formation and development. The following eight chapters introduce various theories of international relations, including Realism, Liberalism, Constructivism, Marxism (the Marxist-Leninist and Neo-Marxist perspectives on international relations), Green Politics, Feminism, Critical Theory, and Postmodernism.

The book focuses on examining the theoretical and practical foundations, as well as the main arguments, of each theory regarding international relations. Simultaneously, the book introduces the history of formation and development, the different schools of thought, and evaluates the advantages and limitations of each theory.
We are pleased to introduce this to our readers.
