On November 7th, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University - and Professor Trong Vi Hop - Rector of Guangdong University of Foreign Languages and Foreign Trade (China) - signed an agreement on future cooperation between the two universities.
On November 7th, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University - and Professor Trong Vi Hop - Rector of Guangdong University of Foreign Languages and Foreign Trade (China) - signed an agreement on future cooperation between the two universities.Attending the signing ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Vice Rector of the University, representatives from the Faculty of Linguistics, the Department of Chinese Studies - Faculty of Oriental Studies, and the Office of Foreign Affairs and International Training Cooperation; on the side of Guangdong University of Foreign Trade and Foreign Languages, there was the Director of the Institute for International Student Training, representatives from the Department of Indonesian Language, the Department of Vietnamese Language, and the Office of International Relations. The main contents of the cooperation agreement include: Both sides will jointly send lecturers and scientific researchers to participate in teaching and scientific research activities; agree to accept each other's international students and recognize the academic results of international students; jointly develop study abroad programs with preferential treatment; and exchange self-published publications such as books, magazines, textbooks, tapes, discs, and publications published in their respective countries related to the fields of language, culture, literature, history, economics, and trade. The two universities will collaborate on research topics in areas where each side has strengths, such as language, culture, history, country studies, oriental studies, and educational technology, in either country or multiple countries. The cooperation agreement is valid for 5 years. In addition, at the signing ceremony, the professors and rectors of the two universities also signed an agreement regarding the acceptance of students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to study Vietnamese at the University of Foreign Languages and Foreign Trade. This agreement is valid for 3 years. The University of Foreign Languages and Foreign Trade in Guangdong is a key university in Guangdong Province, China. It was established in 1995 through the merger of Guangzhou Foreign Languages University and Guangzhou University of Foreign Trade. Currently, the university has 26,000 students, 20 colleges, 53 majors, 9 doctoral programs, and 27 master's programs in foreign languages and international economics.
