On November 7, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Principal of the University - and Prof. Trong Vi Hop - Principal of Guangdong University of Foreign Languages ​​and Foreign Trade (China) - signed a cooperation agreement between the two schools in the coming time.Also attending the signing ceremony were Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Vice Rector of the University, representatives of the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Linguistics, the Department of Chinese Studies - Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Training Cooperation; on the side of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, there were the Director of the Institute for Overseas Student Training, representatives of the Department of Indonesian Language, the Department of Vietnamese Language, and the Department of International Relations. The main contents of the cooperation agreement include: The two sides will jointly send lecturers and scientific research staff to participate in teaching and scientific research activities; agree to receive each other's international students and recognize the academic results of international students; jointly develop study abroad programs with preferential treatment. Together exchange self-published publications such as books, magazines, textbooks, tapes, discs and publications published by their countries related to the fields of language, culture, literature, history, economics, and trade; cooperate in researching topics in areas where each side has strengths such as language, culture, history, country studies, oriental studies, training technology... of the two or more countries. The cooperation agreement is valid for 5 years. In addition, at the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement, the Presidents of the two schools also signed an agreement on receiving students from the University of Foreign Languages ​​and International Trade to study Vietnamese. The agreement is valid for 3 years. Guangdong University of Foreign Languages ​​and International Trade is a key university in Guangdong province - China. The school was established in 1995 on the basis of merging Guangzhou University of Foreign Languages ​​and Guangzhou University of Foreign Trade. Currently, the school has 26,000 students, 20 academies, 53 training majors, 9 doctoral training majors, 27 master's training majors in foreign languages ​​and foreign economics.
