Building a partnership with Indiana University – Purdue

On the morning of November 2, 2011, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu (Vice Principal of the School) and leaders of the Faculty of Tourism Studies and the Department of Anthropology had a meeting and worked with representatives of Indiana University - Purdue, Indianapolis (UIPUI), USA: Professor Sotiris Hji-Avgoustis - Head of the Faculty of Tourism Management and Professor Ian McIntosh - Director of the International Cooperation Department.
On the morning of November 2, 2011, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu (Vice Principal of the School) and leaders of the Faculty of Tourism Studies and the Department of Anthropology had a meeting and worked with representatives of Indiana University - Purdue, Indianapolis (UIPUI), USA: Professor Sotiris Hji-Avgoustis - Head of the Faculty of Tourism Management and Professor Ian McIntosh - Director of the International Cooperation Department.During the meeting, the leaders of the two schools discussed future cooperation opportunities in areas of mutual interest: tourism studies, anthropology, archaeology, linguistics, sociology, etc. Both sides agreed and hoped to soon jointly implement programs to exchange experts, lecturers, students, and conduct joint scientific research. Indiana University - Purdue, Indianapolis was established in 1969 on the basis of a combination of Indiana University and Purdue University. The total number of students at the school is currently about 30,000, international students studying at the school come from 122 different countries around the world. UIPUI trains bachelors, masters, and doctors and has about 200 training programs in the fields of: Linguistics, Sociology, Anthropology, Journalism, Tourism, Law, Arts, Medicine, Information Technology, etc.
