On October 11, 2010, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and E-Sarn University (Thailand) signed a memorandum of cooperation between the two universities.
On October 11, 2010, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and E-Sarn University (Thailand) signed a memorandum of cooperation between the two universities.During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and discussed several areas where they could cooperate in the future: - Exchange of lecturers and students for teaching and learning Vietnamese and Thai languages, and Vietnamese-Thai culture. Cooperation in training in several fields such as Vietnamese Studies, Linguistics, Thai Studies… - Cooperation in conducting activities and research projects on northeastern Thailand, northwestern Vietnam, Vietnam-Thailand relations, the Mekong sub-region… - Joint organization of international scientific conferences - Organization of cultural and artistic exchange activities between students of the two universities. Professor Nguyen Van Khanh – Rector of the University – stated that Thailand is one of the areas where the University of Social Sciences and Humanities needs to further expand its cooperative relationship. This visit by representatives from E-Sarn University will mark the beginning of a new phase of cooperation in training and research between the two universities. Atsadan Sawaengkan, President of E-Sarn University, expressed his hope that the two sides would soon cooperate in implementing training programs and organizing exchanges of visiting lecturers and student interns. At the end of the meeting, the presidents of the two universities signed a memorandum of cooperation. Currently, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has cooperative relationships with several universities in Thailand. Recently, the University held meetings with Bansomdej University (Thailand) and the National University of Laos to prepare for the international conference "Preserving and Promoting National Cultural Identity".
