Signing of Memorandum of Cooperation with Ajou University (Korea)

At the beginning of the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) affirmed that promoting international cooperation and exchange is considered a key task and foundation for the development of the University. The University has cooperated with many famous universities in Korea such as Seoul National University, Pusan ​​University... and the Korea Foundation to develop Korean Studies and many other research and training cooperation programs. The University has had remarkable achievements in promoting research and training in Korean Studies. The Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University currently has a Korean Studies major, which is one of the leading training addresses for Korean Studies and Korean language. The University also has the Seijong Korean Language Center specializing in training Korean for Vietnamese people, with the support of Busan University (Korea). The University is also a member of the Association for Korean Studies in Southeast Asia (KoSASA).

Professor Dong Yeon Kim expressed his joy at being warmly welcomed by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. On behalf of Ajou University, Professor Dong Yeon Kim hopes to establish and develop cooperation with the University through specific activities in the coming time.

The leaders of both sides then signed an official memorandum of cooperation. Accordingly, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Ajou University pledged to promote the exchange of teaching and research staff; exchange of students and postgraduates; conduct joint research and consulting activities; cooperate in short-term training programs and projects, seminars and academic programs; exchange academic data and information); implement dual degree training programs. The memorandum of cooperation takes effect from the date of signing.
