
The Rector highlighted the positive aspects of the University's activities in 2016. Accordingly, despite certain changes in organizational structure, the University maintained stability and unity within its staff, forming the foundation for remarkable achievements in various fields. The University's international publications saw significant growth last year with over 50 articles, including 6 published in ISI and Scopus journals. International cooperation expanded with over 250 partners, signing dozens of new cooperation agreements and effectively implementing numerous international cooperation projects related to training and scientific research. The faculty continued to be standardized, with many more faculty members successfully defending their doctoral dissertations, and 10 more professors and associate professors being recognized. Training activities underwent significant innovation with a review and refinement of training processes to ensure they are scientific, effective, and best serve the interests of students and trainees.

Professor Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated and acknowledged the efforts of the staff in the various departments and offices. The faculty members play a very important role in advising the Board of Directors on management, organization, and other activities throughout the university. The Rector also shared the new challenges facing the university in the current period, such as: challenges related to regional and international integration in various fields; the need for high-quality research that meets practical requirements; the challenge of maximizing the potential and creativity of the staff; and the challenges of university autonomy and implementing a new model of university governance…

Professor Pham Quang Minh affirmed that the spirit of openness, innovation, and integration will be the fundamental and overarching values in all of the University's activities. Based on this, he suggested that faculty members in the departments and offices should further promote a sense of responsibility, innovation, and creativity in their work; and strengthen cooperation and interconnectedness between departments to improve operational efficiency. The Rector also emphasized that the faculty members in the departments and offices, through their work and conduct, will help build a better image of the University in the perception of students, trainees, and society.
