To commemorate Vietnam's Disabled Persons Day, the Hoa Da Club, under the Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, organized a program titled "Let's Fall in Love Prom." The program not only provided students with a fun evening but also conveyed a message of love to everyone, especially those less fortunate in life. It was an opportunity for them to express their love and confidently showcase it in front of a crowd, receiving support and empathy from one another.
The program's theme aims to celebrate the love between young men and women with disabilities. Overcoming difficulties, hardships, challenges, feelings of inferiority, and stubbornness, their courage brings them together, allowing them to find true love for themselves.
The program featured speaker Son Lam. Mr. Nguyen Son Lam is one of the victims of Agent Orange. Overcoming physical challenges, he has achieved things that even able-bodied people admire. With a cheerful and optimistic outlook, he constantly strives in his career and life, and is currently both a sports editor and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Toa Sang Joint Stock Company.
The program was also attended by a disabled couple, teachers, and a large number of students from the entire school. Everyone listened to the honest and heartfelt sharing of the guest speakers – individuals who dared to overcome their limitations and were confident in life.
The students with disabilities brought many touching emotions to everyone through the plays they staged and performed themselves. The message of these performances was: love has its sweet phases, its challenging and difficult moments, but with sincerity, they still come together, holding hands and standing up together.
Interspersed with the sweet songs of the students were captivating magic performances by young magician Nam Nie Hoai Nam and a surprise appearance by Running Man Vu Xuan Tien. Nam Nie's performance was a meaningful message of encouragement about resilience and faith in life for the members of the Hoa Da Club in particular and the audience watching his performance in general. The hall became even more lively with the appearance of singer Duy Khoa. He dedicated his sweet voice to the audience with four songs: "Love and Youth" - "First Love Song" - and "Dancing with You" - and "Thoughts in Me".
Through the program, sponsors provided numerous scholarships for students with disabilities, encouraging them to strive harder in life. These included five scholarships for members of the Hoa Da Club, with three worth 10 million VND and two worth 500,000 VND from the Design Global Academy. Additionally, there were 10 English language scholarships from Enci English Center, each worth 2 million VND.
The program concluded with a lively dance performance by couples with disabilities. This was the message that the Hoa Da Club wanted to convey:Nothing can stop you, not even your own flaws; love is in your own hands, and you need to seize it."Our shared desire is..."love stories of peoplePeople with disabilities will all have a beautiful ending.!" and the message "Happiness is about sharing – Love is about action." will continue to move forward on this new journey."
