Why did I choose Humanities?

* Nguyen Thi Van Anh (K56 Faculty of Tourism): "Additional enrollment for block A - cNew opportunity for "science enthusiasts"society

I have loved social sciences before, but because I was studying for the A block exam, I thought I would not have the opportunity to study at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - a prestigious and long-standing university. When I learned that the school had recruited A block students since 2009, I was very happy and determined to pass the exam.

I am used to studying in the A block, now entering the university environment with mainly social science subjects makes me very interested and curious. I wish to study many other majors at the school after graduation. The way the teachers convey knowledge is so new and attractive, very different from the way I studied in high school. I feel very proud to be a student of the school.

*Nguyen Tuan (K56 Faculty of Information Technology - Thinstitute): “Just one love for Xung Kich”

My love for youth activities has made me stick with and volunteer with the Shock Team for nearly three years now. Many competitive movements, volunteer programs to help disadvantaged areas or help students during each exam season make me feel that student life is meaningful. Joining the Shock Team gives me confidence in communication, serious discipline in work, flexibility in dealing with people and the ability to adapt to unexpected changes in life. The working environment at the Union and Association is quite dynamic and highly effective. The learning environment is serious but friendly, the teachers are good at their profession and enthusiastic in teaching as well as imparting many interesting life experiences to students.

* Do Thi Dung (K56 Faculty of Journalism and Communication): "We were able to participate in scientific research very early"

I want to do scientific research to deeply understand the issues that I am interested in. Not only that, I also get to read a lot of documents related to journalism and legal documents. I get to work in groups responsibly, and teachers guide me on skills so that I can write a better thesis next year. I wanted to do research since my second year, but at that time I did not have enough necessary skills, so I only did it in my third year.

Scientific research also gives me a lot of experience, especially related to data encoding. For example, making a data survey helps me create in-depth questions and how to survey newspapers in the most detailed way. I knew before taking the entrance exam: this is one of the largest social science research schools in the country. It is the cradle of training high-quality research. Because I love research, I decided to take the exam here. And it is indeed the best choice I have made up to this point.

Thanks to research, I have a deeper understanding of journalism, especially online journalism, know how to work in groups more effectively, analyze data and create systematic tables.

* Lan Anh (K57 Faculty of Literature): "Phnew teaching methods and usI'm really addicted"

Honestly, the teaching methods of some teachers make me addicted because they are so interesting and new. When I first entered the school, I was very confused because I came from a far away province to study. The knowledge and teaching methods at university in my imagination were really difficult and it would probably take a long time to adapt.

It is the enthusiastic guidance, the method of expanding and leading the problem in each lesson that really attracts us. I am very interested in studying at school and even look forward to the time to study soon. Last semester, I achieved excellent academic results. I hope that the teachers will be more creative in teaching methods so that we can have more ways to approach the problem as well as receive the teachers' instructions proactively and achieve higher efficiency.
