As early as 8:00 a.m. on August 14, many parents and students were present at the school yard, bringing their records and admission papers. The welcoming ceremony for new students was attended by Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh - Principal of the school; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Vice Principal of the school. On behalf of the school's Board of Directors, the two teachers personally came down to welcome and welcome the new students to school. The two teachers expressed their joy and thanked the parents and students for their trust in the school, deciding to entrust and commit to spending four years of university at the traditional Humanities School.

Like previous years, to avoid traffic jams and overloaded departments, this year, the School also divided and arranged for different departments to carry out admission procedures for new students. To effectively implement the content of welcoming new students, the School has sent an official dispatch to the departments, implementing the necessary work. Accordingly, the Department of Politics and Student Affairs has an important task when developing a master plan, being the "focal point" directly coordinating with related units to implement activities to welcome students of the QH-2017-X course. The Department will directly handle the content of policies when students enroll, assign a group of Student Ambassadors to support students enrolling at convenient admission offices. In addition, the Department also has a specific work direction plan for other units such as: Youth Volunteer Team, School Youth Union, ... to support students and parents on the day of enrollment. The school has arranged sunshades, tables and chairs, and provided drinking water so that parents and students can sit and rest while waiting to complete admission procedures.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Lieu - Head of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs shared that this year's plan is basically the same as every year. However, this year, the process of receiving students to issue admission certificates to them has been arranged by the Training Department into three rooms, so the admission procedure is also faster than in previous years.

The Youth Union - Student Association also enthusiastically participated in the work of welcoming parents and new students. The Executive Committee of the Youth Union - Association designed and printed posters to send to students on the day of admission, clearly stating the schedule of activities of the Youth Union - Association that will take place this semester. In particular, this year, the Student Association of the school has a small survey of thoughts and aspirations about skills that they want to improve, activities that new students want to participate in when they first enter the school. The Student Association promises to be an organization that always listens to and helps students in their studies and training, contributing to the building of the school, creating conditions for full and comprehensive development for students. These are really big plus points for new students to have a more comprehensive view of a school of Humanities that is ancient and traditional, but also very "dynamic - creative - brave - integrated".

Sharing his feelings on the first day of school, Do Minh Chien - K62 Psychology said: "At first, I was a bit surprised and confused because I was a new student and had never been here before. I found the school's exterior to be ancient, but the facilities inside were very modern. The teachers and students welcomed us very politely and friendly, truly a School of Humanities. Thanks to that, I quickly regained my confidence and made some new friends."

Thai Nguyen Bich Ngoc – K62 Public Relations expressed her happiness when standing at the school she loved and wished to study since high school: “I have loved Humanities since I was in high school. Today I feel really happy to be standing here. This is really a good school for me to study and develop myself in the next four years”.

Present at the welcoming day for new students, Mr. Vu Trong Dai - parent of a K62 Journalism student said that he felt extremely excited by the warm welcome from the school leaders, teachers and students in the school. According to him, the close attention from the school right at this admission ceremony will make new students more confident in their choice, thereby having more motivation to study, research and develop themselves during the four years of studying here.

New students must complete all procedures within the first 15 days of enrollment.

It is known that right after the admission ceremony, starting from August 17-20, the new students of the QH-2017-X course will study the student integration week instead of the previous student citizenship week. At the same time, they will also have a health check and complete the work related to student procedures. On September 5, they will start studying according to the general schedule of the whole school.
