Opening Ceremony of the "One Belt, One Road" Field Survey and Experience Program

On August 21st, the "Belt and Road Initiative" field trip and experience program was inaugurated at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. This is a special program for outstanding students from three major Chinese universities: Beijing Normal University, Renmin University of China, and Jiangsu Normal University. The program is organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with the Global Education Group (GES).

Professor Pham Quang Minh, Rector of the University, delivered a welcoming speech to nearly 50 Chinese lecturers participating in this program. Students will hear lectures on Vietnamese history, culture, and economy, as well as the traditional and future relationship between Vietnam and China. In addition, there will be a thematic talk on the "Silk Road" in the context of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative and Sino-Vietnamese cultural exchange. The lecturers in this program are leading experts in history, culture, economics, and other fields currently working at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and various research institutes and government agencies.

In addition to their studies at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, students also get to experience Vietnamese culture through activities such as visiting historical and cultural sites, city tours, etc., in Hanoi. The program takes place from August 21st to August 28th, 2017.

Students majoring in Chinese Studies (Faculty of Oriental Studies) perform a cultural show to welcome the students.
