At the meeting, the Ambassador emphasized the potential for cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Iranian Embassy as well as Iranian universities in research and teaching activities.
In fact, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has had an official document signed with the Embassy of Iran and Tehran University for quite a long time. The Embassy of Iran has supported the University to build the Iran Studies Room since 2003 - a place to display and introduce documents, books, paintings, photos... about the culture, country and people of Iran to the University's students. Up to now, many diverse cooperation activities have been implemented such as: translating books and documents about Iran; organizing Iran Cultural Week; exhibiting books, photos, screening films about Iran; introducing Iranian and Oriental cuisine; organizing seminars on Vietnam - Iran relations... In particular, from 2012 to present, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has organized 5 Persian language classes of all levels for nearly 30 students, taught by Iranian lecturers.

Vice Principal Nguyen Van Kim said: Research and teaching on Iran and West Asia are currently integrated into the curriculum of the Department of Indian Studies under the Faculty of Oriental Studies. In the future, the University hopes to develop an Iranian Studies major with the support of universities and the Iranian Embassy in Vietnam.
The Ambassador expressed his support for the cooperation activities between the two sides in recent times. At the same time, these activities need to continue to be promoted in both scale and effectiveness in the future.
