Humanity Fund enriches human values

The Humanity Fund was established to support school staff who are in particularly difficult circumstances such as: serious illness, serious accident, natural disaster, fire or other particularly difficult circumstances. The Fund helps staff overcome difficulties, continue to contribute to the development of the school in particular and the education sector in general.

Attending the Fund launching ceremony were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Principal of the School, Union officials, heads of units and many officials and civil servants.

With the motto that the Union is the home of every cadre and civil servant, the Humanity Fund is a source of encouragement, support, and meaningful sharing with cadres who are unfortunately in particularly difficult circumstances. The Fund is built on the basis of voluntary contributions and support from cadres and civil servants and the contributions and support of benefactors, units, and businesses inside and outside the school... under the direct management of the School Union Executive Board. All activities of the Fund will be carried out according to its own operating regulations and will be publicly announced.

Speaking at the launch, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh emphasized the significance of the Trade Union's regular sharing, support and encouragement for union members in difficult times as well as other charitable activities.

The Principal highly appreciated the initiative to establish the Humanitarian Fund of the School's Trade Union Executive Committee and expressed his wish that the Fund would have more activities to share and encourage the School's staff and civil servants in line with the spirit of the Humanitarian Fund.

On this occasion, the Fund organized the awarding of the first 3 support gifts to 3 officers of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, Faculty of Philosophy, and Center for Journalism and Communication.

Right at the launching ceremony, the Fund continued to receive support from the attending officials with the amount of 21,345,000 VND. Thus, as of October 8, 2013, the total amount of money raised by the Fund is over 100 million VND.

The Fund's Standing Committee hopes to continue receiving contributions to the Fund from groups and individuals inside and outside the school to continue multiplying humanistic values.
