From September 23rd to October 3rd, the photo exhibition "Another Me" is being displayed at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the Museum of Anthropology (University of Social Sciences and Humanities), the Institute for Cultural and Environmental Studies (ISEE), and 14 civil society organizations.

“Một tôi khác” - triển lãm giàu tính nhân văn

"Another Me" is how each author views their own life, telling very personal stories and helping viewers understand a beautiful life in its diversity.

The exhibition features 108 photographs accompanied by authentic, simple, and emotionally rich stories, presented using the photovoice method. These stories showcase the strong and confident resilience of people with disabilities, those infected with HIV, drug addicts, LGBTQ+ individuals, ethnic minorities, and the poor in overcoming personal, family, and societal prejudices. This is an "autobiographical" exhibition filled with diverse emotions and profound humanistic values.

The selected photographs are presented according to separate themes: I am strong – I learn – I am confident – I can – I am independent – I am myself – I share – I love.

If "I Am Strong" captures the ordinary daily life and work of people with disabilities, those infected with HIV, and drug addicts, reflecting their aspirations to live, overcome barriers, integrate, and become useful members of society, then "I Learn" records the efforts of training, learning, and applying community initiatives to improve material living standards, enhance spiritual well-being, and raise awareness and social understanding among ethnic minorities, the poor, and people with disabilities.

“I am independent” features photographs capturing moments of happiness at work, highlighting the radiant faces, bright smiles, and sweat of mothers, sisters, and fathers struggling daily to make a living and support themselves and their families. “I am me” focuses on LGBTQ+ individuals and their often cramped and confined daily lives within their own communities, yet still radiates a strong spirit of love and life. “I can” and “I am confident” encourage the simple aspirations of the poor for a happy life, people with disabilities experiencing life to the fullest, and autistic children cared for by social workers…

In addition, "I Share" and "I Love" share moments from the authors themselves about their loved ones, family, and community, expressing the most sincere feelings of love...

"Another Me" is a diverse collection of characters, reflecting the most "real" aspects of each person's life, encompassing simple joys and sorrows, and showcasing the changes, movements, and ways each individual overcomes difficulties to achieve success. "Another Me" is how each author views their own life, telling very personal stories and helping viewers understand a beautiful life in its diversity. Above all, "Another Me" evokes positive emotions about the strong resilience of individuals in life, conveying a message of understanding, appreciation, and love.
