To implement the plan to organize the "Volunteer Summer Campaign 2010" of the Executive Committee of the Hanoi Youth Union, the Executive Committee of the Hanoi National University Youth Union, to implement the work program of the 2009-2010 school year, to promote the results achieved in the 2009 volunteer summer of the School's Youth, the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities built a plan to organize the 2010 volunteer summer with the following contents:
I. Purpose and meaning
- This is an opportunity for union members and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to promote their professional capacity, intelligence and enthusiasm to contribute to the cause of economic, cultural and social development in some localities, especially towards the activities to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi. - Create opportunities for students of the school to exchange and share experiences in union work and student movements with young people in some localities. - Create conditions for students to come into contact with real life, combine learning with practice, contributing to building the right motivation for learning. - Through the summer of youth volunteering to practice political qualities, educate traditions, ethics, sense of responsibility; practical knowledge and social activity skills; contribute to improving the effectiveness of the Youth Union and Student Association. - Meet the need to contribute the youth of union members and students to the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.
II. Operating principles
- Promote the spirit of volunteerism among students. - Prioritize volunteer activities related to expertise. - Volunteer activities must be safe, practical, economical and effective.
III. Activity content
- Focus on activities in Hanoi with the theme "Building culture - Protecting the environment" towards celebrating 1000 years of Thang Long - Hanoi; - Organize cultural teaching for local students; - Propaganda and dissemination of the Party's and State's policies and guidelines and Resolutions of the Youth Union Congresses at all levels; - Propaganda of Ho Chi Minh's ideology in different forms depending on each area of operation; - Coordinate with localities to organize activities to commemorate the day of war invalids and martyrs, visit and give gifts to families with meritorious services to the revolution, poor but excellent students; - Propaganda on traffic safety; - Coordinate with localities to organize propaganda to prevent social evils; - Organize and participate in cultural and sports activities, cultural exchanges between students and local youth; - Participate in organizing summer activities for local youth; - Organize a force of union members and students to participate in serving the university entrance exam;
IV. Volunteer activity models Summer 2010
1. Activities serving the 2010 university entrance exam- Content: Participate in supporting the 2010 University Entrance Exam; participate in the Exam Support activities at the School's admission locations and at bus stations (according to the assignment and direction of the superior delegation); participate in the "Housing Support" and "Green Shirts Carrying Pink Dreams" teams of the Hanoi Youth Union. - The core force for this activity is the Student Shock Team and volunteers who are students in the school. - Number: 100-120 volunteers. - Implementation time: from June 30 to July 10, 2010 - Implementation force: Student Shock Team. - In charge of implementation: Nguyen Manh Linh - Member of the School Student Union Executive Committee, Team Leader of the Student Shock Team. The School Youth Union assigned comrade Pham Huy Cuong - Deputy Secretary, comrade Nguyen Chi Trung - Member of the Standing Committee to direct this content.
2. Han Nom Club- Content: Organize free literacy classes and activities to introduce Han Nom script at Hanoi Children's Palace (traditional location) and expand to other locations in Hanoi to celebrate 1000 years of Thang Long - Hanoi. - Time: from June 20 to August 20, 2010. - Implementing force: Union - Faculty of Literature Union. - In charge of implementation: Comrade Nguyen Phuc Anh - Secretary of the Faculty of Literature Union and Comrade Nguyen Hoang Kieu Anh - Member of the School Youth Union Executive Committee. The School Youth Union assigned Comrade Pham Huy Cuong and Comrade Nguyen Chi Trung to direct this content.
3. Activities to participate with Hanoi Youth Union towards the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long- Content: Propaganda about the traditions, history, culture of the capital and the country, towards the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi at locations: Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Duong Lam ancient village,... - Time: from June 20 to August 20, 2010 - Estimated number of volunteers: 150 volunteers. - Deployment force: Union - Union of Tourism Studies Faculty, History Faculty, Linguistics Faculty, International Studies Faculty, Oriental Studies Faculty (there will be a specific plan according to the program of the City Youth Union and City Association). - In charge of implementation: Union/Union Secretaries of the above-mentioned Unions; Assigning comrade Pham Duc Anh - Deputy Secretary of the School Youth Union and comrade Ta Bich Ngoc - Member of the School Youth Union Standing Committee to direct the implementation.
4. Campaign Reporter Team- Content: Collect information, write articles and report on summer volunteer activities of the school's youth and the capital's youth; publish the Summer Volunteer Magazine. - Time: June 1 to September 5, 2010. - Implementing force: Union - Faculty of Journalism and Communication. - In charge of implementation: Comrade Nguyen Thanh Khanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the School's Student Union, Head of the Journalism and Communication Union. Comrade Pham Huy Cuong - Deputy Secretary directs this content.
5. Volunteer activities in Son La under the direction of VNU Youth Union- Location: Son La Province - Time: from July 15 to August 5, 2010 - Number: 80-90 volunteers/ 02 teams. - Deployment force: Student Union members of the whole school (focusing mainly on units that have not been mobilized for the above activities: Archival and QTVP, Psychology, Sociology, Management Science, Library Information, Political Science, Philosophy). - In charge of implementation: Union Secretaries and Union Heads of the above-named Faculties/Departments. The School Youth Union Executive Committee assigned responsibility to Ms. Nguyen Mai Lan - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice President of the School's Student Union, and Mr. Tran Bach Hieu - Member of the School Youth Union Executive Committee to direct the implementation.
6. Introducing student union members to summer activities in their hometownStudents who are not able to participate in these activities will receive summer activity vouchers 2010 (to participate in local activities and programs) at the Youth Union - Student Association Office of the School from June 10 to June 25. The confirmation vouchers for participation in the local area will be sent to the Youth Union - Student Association Office of the School before September 10, 2010.

Comrades in charge of directing and urging implementation on schedule. - June 10 to June 30, 2010: Preliminary activities, training, requesting sponsorship, preparation work. - July and August 2010: Implement activities. - September 2010: Summary. (Note: Comrades in charge of Youth Union teams submit summary reports and recommendations for rewards to the School Youth Union Office before August 20, 2010).
