Opening of the training course on administrative work, documents, archives and regulations on protecting state secrets at VNU

On March 31 - April 1, 2015, based on the staff training plan for the 2014-2015 school year, the Department of Personnel Organization launched a training course and disseminated the Regulations on leadership, administrative management and training in administrative and archival skills. Attending the training session were Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa (Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and many administrative, archival and document staff of the Faculties, Departments and units under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

At the training session, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Phung (Faculty of Archival Science and Office Management) introduced administrative, clerical and archival work in the university. The main contents were an overview of administrative, clerical, clerical, archival and security work; dissemination of new regulations of VNU on clerical, archival and security work; responsibilities of the leadership and management team for these tasks.Decision No. 4889/QD-DHVN of the Director of VNU, dated December 19, 2014 promulgating the Regulations on Document and Archive Work is a basic document regulating the main issues in document and archive work such as scope and subjects of regulation, explanation of terms, department in charge of document work, funding and facilities, and confidentiality.In addition, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Phung discussed the basic skills needed for administrative and office workers such as ensuring communication, transactions, reception, protocol, and logistics. With practical and easy-to-understand examples, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Phung highlighted the importance of basic skills that have not received adequate attention in universities today.

Administrative, office, document, archive and security work are basic and important tasks that affect and impact the operational efficiency of the School and its units. School leaders and heads of units need to pay attention and organize their implementation well. Accordingly, each office, document, archive and security officer needs to perform their work in accordance with the regulations on administration, office, document, archive and security. Each Department/Division/Faculty/Institute/Center needs to assign 01 full-time or part-time officer to advise and assist the Head of the unit in these tasks. This training course is a meaningful activity to enhance the responsibility of organizations and individuals for document and archive work in agencies and units.
