On March 26, 2011, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Youth Union and in response to the 2011 Year of Youth, the program "Light up your mind" was held at the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities with the participation of numerous students and invited guests. With its rules and exciting competitions like the "Golden Bell" quiz, the program features 100 contestants, all of whom are students from various faculties and departments within the university.

In this competition, players will have to answer a maximum of 20 questions and scenarios covering main topics such as the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, knowledge of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and fields of culture, history, society, and natural sciences…

Nguyen Thu Thao (a student from the Faculty of Literature) said: "It was really interesting and very engaging. Although I've watched the 'Rung Chuong Vang' (Golden Bell Ringing) program many times on television, this is the first time I've seen a program that's just as lively right here on campus."

Winning after answering 15 questions and competing against 60 other players, Nguyen Thi Que Huong shared: "I was really surprised because I didn't think I could win. 'Light your mind' creates opportunities for humanities students to interact, learn, and gain more useful knowledge, especially knowledge about the glorious traditions of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities."

Regarding the organization of the program, Tran Dieu Anh, Head of the SIFE USSH team – the student team that conceived and organized the event – shared: “While vibrant and engaging cultural and artistic activities that allow humanities students to showcase their talents are regularly organized, there haven't been many activities or movements that allow students to demonstrate their intellect. Therefore, the program, titled “Light up your mind,” has created appeal and curiosity among students and the audience.” Speaking about the idea behind the “Light your mind” competition, Mr. Pham Huy Cuong (Deputy Secretary of the University's Youth Union) said: “The program is one of the practical activities of the youth and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Youth Union and to respond to the 2011 Youth Year. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for humanities students to confidently and freely express their intellect, talent, and understanding of diverse knowledge in both scientific fields and daily life.”
