Sun, wind and shingles are the big challenges that Phu Cuong team is facing. As of this morning, July 24, 4/32 volunteers of the team have contracted shingles. Not without worry, the parents of Thu Huyen and Cam Trang traveled from Phu Tho and Hung Yen to visit their children and the volunteer group. The whole group was as happy as if they were seeing their own parents. Most importantly, the parents provided Phu Cuong with a lot of food and drinks. The volunteer meals were improved with vegetables, meat, ham, and beans after the children's hard days and laughter was indispensable. Talking to everyone, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Bien - Thu Huyen's father - shared: "Although we have a hard time, we can't compare to the volunteers. Remember to take care of yourselves, work hard to complete your tasks, and next year we'll go again and go to Phu Tho to play." At 3pm, the whole group regained their spirits and started working again. The young teachers continued to teach the "i to" class, babbling each English syllable. A class of 20 students but there was 1 teacher and 2 teaching assistants, because being a teacher is not as simple as they thought. The first day holding chalk and standing in front of so many innocent eyes, the teachers couldn't help but feel nervous, then the silly questions made them laugh: "-What is Germany in English? -Ma'am, it's Australia". After a while of practicing reading, the children still read China as "china". The remaining volunteers are rushing to help Thuy Huong, Huong Giang and Tan Phu villages of Phu Cuong commune design and build the camp gate to prepare for the upcoming war invalids and martyrs' anniversary.
