From July 16th to 18th, a delegation of staff from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication and the Center for Journalism and Communication Professional Training, led by Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, visited and worked at two universities in Thailand: Valaya AlongKorn Rajabhat University and the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.During their visit to the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC), the delegation exchanged experiences and learned from the Faculty of Media Arts at UTCC regarding facility management, efficient utilization of equipment and machinery, and methods for organizing and developing training programs, coursework, and extracurricular activities for students. The delegation also toured the studios and computer labs at UTCC and observed several media studies classes. The University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce has been established for 45 years, and the Faculty of Media Arts for 20 years. Currently, the Faculty has four departments: Print Journalism (recently renamed Multimedia Journalism), Radio and Television, Advertising and Public Relations, and a Research Institute for Journalism and Media Studies. The Faculty of Media Arts has approximately 70 staff members (including over 20 PhDs), notably about one-fifth of whom are technicians. Currently, the Faculty is training nearly 2000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. Following this, at Valaya AlongKorn Rajabhat University, the delegation met and exchanged views with the leadership and staff of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. Both sides discussed issues such as: student recruitment, scientific research, study conditions for international students, development orientation of key disciplines, organizational structure, and the operation of a university. Valaya AlongKorn Rajabhat University currently has approximately 1500 students and offers 11 majors: Law, Public Administration, Thai Language, Social Sciences and Humanities, Education, and Science and Technology. The visit and working trip of the delegation from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication and the Center for Journalism and Communication Professional Training to two universities in Thailand provided an opportunity for staff to exchange and learn from experiences in organizing and managing facilities, building training models, and conducting extracurricular activities. It also opened up opportunities for future exchange, collaboration, and cooperation in training and research between the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, the Center for Journalism and Communication Professional Training, Valaya AlongKorn Rajabhat University, and the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.
