Attending the training session were representatives from the Training Department - Dr. Dao Minh Quan (Deputy Head of Department and speaker) along with numerous lecturers and staff from various faculties/departments in the university.

Currently, online teaching is not just a temporary solution to adapt to the pandemic, but has truly become an inevitable trend of the digital transformation era. Online teaching will help teachers and students conduct learning activities anywhere without being restricted by geographical space, while also helping to apply the achievements of information technology to diversify teaching methods, testing, and student assessment.
According to the guidelines on online teaching for students, the combination of in-person and online teaching will continue in the 2022-2023 academic year. However, it must be ensured that the number of courses and the credit duration of courses taught online do not exceed 30% of the total credits of the training program. And from the first semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, the university will uniformly use the online teaching platform of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, accessible at https://lms.vnu.edu.vn/ instead of https://ussh.vtvlive.vn/ that lecturers are currently using.
To ensure the successful deployment of the new platform, the university will organize three training sessions on using the online teaching platform for all faculty members in July 2022. The training will focus on three main areas: Developing teaching scenarios; Guiding the use of the VNU LMS platform for online teaching; and Online teaching methods.
During the final training session, Dr. Dao Minh Quan shared a great deal of specific content on how to effectively use the online LMS platform, build the most suitable electronic lesson plans, participate in building and using the electronic learning resource library, design a question bank for testing and evaluating student learning outcomes, and monitor and support learners in a timely manner. Many concerns were also raised by the instructors during the training, leading to lively discussions.
The unified and synchronized deployment of the new platform throughout the school will present some difficulties and unforeseen situations. The school will always provide maximum support in terms of infrastructure (internet network, wifi, etc.), incentive policies, and regular training activities... so that lecturers can use the new application platform most effectively in online teaching.
