The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is one of the training units that receives a lot of attention from students and parents. Many "hot" majors such as Journalism, Oriental Studies, Korean Studies, Japanese Studies, Public Relations, Tourism and Travel Service Management, Hotel Management, Office Management, International Studies, Psychology, etc., are of great interest to students who are carefully researching relevant information such as admission criteria, training content, career opportunities, etc.

In addition, many candidates are very interested in the university's long-standing and traditional fields of study, which are also foundational sciences in the social sciences and humanities, such as History, Linguistics, Literature, Philosophy, Sino-Vietnamese Studies, Political Science, Anthropology, and Sociology. These fields have strengths in their faculty, training traditions, and have received significant investment from the State in recent years to create high-quality human resources to meet the needs of socio-economic development. The university is also gradually developing these fields of study in an interdisciplinary direction, where students not only learn specialized knowledge but are also equipped with professional skills and expertise in management, communication, office work, and foreign languages, enabling them to adapt to various job positions in the context of integration.

Responding to some questions regarding the high school student competency assessment exam of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) scheduled for 2021, Dr. Hoang Van Quynh - Deputy Head of the Training Department of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, stated: The VNU high school student competency assessment exam in 2021 will not be an entrance exam like those held in 2015 and 2016, but rather a separate exam to assess competency and issue certificates of results to students. Candidates with certificates from this exam will be eligible for admission to universities within VNU and some other institutions outside VNU. Detailed information and specific guidelines for this exam are currently being developed by VNU and are expected to be publicly announced on the website and through mass media next month.
