Meeting with representatives from Cambridge University Press (USA)

On February 14, 2017, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) met and worked with Ms. Ivy Leo, Director of Business Development for the Asia Pacific Market at Cambridge University Press (University of Cambridge, USA).

Meeting with representatives from Cambridge University Press (USA)

During the meeting, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) introduced the main achievements in training, scientific research, and the main research directions of the University; emphasizing the goal of building a research university, strengthening research projects, especially international publications. To encourage this work, the University has implemented various measures such as awarding each staff member with an international publication 5 million VND/article, and 15 million VND/article for ISI/SCOPUS publications. To date, the University has had more than 40 works published in international journals, including those in the ISI/SCOPUS system.

Ms. Ivy Leo stated that, with the desire to cooperate with universities in Southeast Asia to exchange and expand academic materials, Cambridge University Press will support the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in accessing resources on the Cambridge Core database, as well as supporting the publication of research works by the university's staff and lecturers.

Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his gratitude to Cambridge University Press and stated that the university would promptly disseminate this information for faculty and staff to refer to and utilize.
