
Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa, Vice Rector of the University, received Mr. Evgueni Stoytchev, Ambassador of Bulgaria to Vietnam.
During the meeting, Ms. Tatyana Tsaneva, Head of Cooperation and Development at Sofia University, proposed and invited the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to participate in the European Union's Erasmus+ program as a partner in Vietnam of Sofia University for the period 2017-2019. This is a program for exchanging staff and students, with funding support for study and research at partner universities. For students, the priority area for this exchange program is Oriental Studies.
Representing the school's leadership, Vice Rector Tran Thi Minh Hoa shared her support for the program and instructed the relevant departments and faculties to complete the application process for participation in the Erasmus+ program. The Bulgarian Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr.Evgueni Stoytchev highly welcomed the willingness of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to cooperate and affirmed that this is a testament to the strengthening of cooperative relations in the fields of education and scientific research between Vietnam and Bulgaria.

*The University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Sofia University have had a cooperative relationship through the signing of a Bilateral Cooperation Agreement in 2012. In the first semester of the 2016-2017 academic year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities accepted and awarded scholarships to two students majoring in Oriental Studies from Sofia University to study at the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language.
