On November 20, 2017, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and representatives of the Department of Cooperation and Development received and worked with the delegation of Ontario Province, Canada led by Ms. Chelsea Peet (Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Intergovernmental Affairs, Cabinet Office of Canada).

The meeting aimed to discuss the organization of an exchange and talk between Ms. Kathleen Wynne - Premier of Ontario, Canada - and students, staff and lecturers of the University. The exchange will take place at an appropriate time during Ms. Kathleen Wynne's visit to Vietnam from December 3-6. As planned, the topic of the talk is about women and participation in society.

Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh has reached preliminary agreement with the delegation of Ontario Province on issues such as auditorium, participants, reception procedures, interpretation and equipment.

On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh pledged that the University will create favorable conditions to ensure the success of the exchange. This activity will help students, lecturers and staff of the University understand more deeply and contribute to strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two countries. This is even more meaningful as the two countries are about to celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations next year (August 1973 - August 2018).
