The program was attended by Ms. Synthia T. Totanes (Head of the AUN evaluation team), Dr. Dawisa Sritanyarat (evaluator), and other members of the delegation. Representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Thach (Head of the Faculty of Literature), along with faculty members and representatives from various functional departments of the University.
Speaking at the opening session, Professor Pham Quang Minh emphasized the importance of quality accreditation of training programs according to AUN standards for Vietnamese universities. The goal of this activity is to identify and address shortcomings in training activities, thereby improving training quality and expanding cooperation with the region and the world. The quality of the AUN assessment and standards has been affirmed over many years, and this is a good opportunity for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to develop training programs according to international standards.

Professor Pham Quang Minh speaks at the working session.
At the opening ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy (Deputy Head of the Faculty of Literature) gave an overview of the history and current training programs of the Faculty of Literature. In recent years, the Faculty of Literature has actively reformed its teaching and learning programs and expanded international cooperation. The Faculty has also published many impactful scientific research works. The employment rate of graduates is increasing. However, alongside these achievements, the Faculty's training activities still face limitations such as: training programs not being updated to the world, some research projects being small-scale, and a shortage of lecturers in some subjects. The Faculty is developing specific plans to overcome these limitations and aims for qualitative changes in the future.

Following the opening session, there will be specific working sessions between the AUN evaluation team and relevant individuals and organizations. Subsequent evaluation sessions will continue until November 23rd.
