Introduction to the SAGE electronic database (USA)

On November 29, 2017, Professor Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), along with representatives from the Faculty of Information and Library Science and the Office of Cooperation and Development, received and worked with a delegation from Sage Publishing, led by Ms. Shirley Yap (Managing Director for Southeast Asia).

During the meeting, representatives from both sides discussed the development of a high-quality information database to support research and teaching activities for faculty, staff, and students of the university. Ms. Shirley provided a detailed introduction to the university staff about the advantages and benefits of the "Sage Research Methods" electronic database program in the field of social sciences and humanities. She affirmed that the outstanding features of "Sage Research Methods" will bring significant advantages to the university in research and teaching.

On behalf of the University, Professor Pham Quang Minh expressed his gratitude to SAGE Publishing and pledged to explore and consider the possibility of deeper cooperation between the two parties. University staff also asked many questions about the usage and research methods in "Sage Research Methods." Representatives from Sage Publishing answered these questions in detail and clearly.

SAGE Research Methods is an online research tool based on an electronic database. SAGE provides access to over 150,000 pages of books, journals, and reference data, more than 720 books, 26 videos, and over 1,400 topics using qualitative and quantitative methods, along with a Method Map. Sage optimally supports and saves users time at every stage of their research. With SAGE Research Methods, researchers can explore their chosen methodology in depth and breadth, expanding or refining their search as needed; read online, print, or email entire texts, and access links to relevant authors from the SRM library.
