Attending the Conference were, on behalf of the Student Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Ms. Hua Thanh Hoa, Vice President of the Student Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; and on behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University, and Mr. Tran Bach Hieu, Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Under the chairmanship of Mr. Tran Duc Hoa, President of the University's Student Union, the conference was attended by members of the Executive Committee of the University's Student Union for the first half of the 2016-2018 term and those who will be appointed to the Executive Committee for the second half of the 2016-2018 term, as well as representatives from the Faculty Student Unions, clubs, teams, and groups under the University's Student Union.
Opening the conference, Comrade Tran Duc Hoa summarized the achievements in various fields of activity of the Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities during the first half of the 2016-2018 term. A short video clip was shown, providing delegates with an overview of the outstanding activities of the Student Union, including programs welcoming new students of cohorts K61 and K62.Farewell to summerFarewell ceremony for graduating students of cohorts K57 and K58, the Award Ceremony for Outstanding Students, the Green Humanities Day, volunteer activities, etc… Among these, Comrade Tran Duc Hoa emphasized that one of the new key activities of the University's Student Union in the second half of the 2016-2018 term is the series of programsSimple things,to disseminate universal values to a wide range of students throughout the university…
The discussion session of the Conference witnessed lively and passionate opinions from delegates on practical issues, including those related to information dissemination and coordination between the Executive Committee of the University Student Union and the Branch Unions; the content of activities being far removed from students' needs; many activities still heavily influenced by tradition and lacking innovation to suit students' interests; and the limited support from the Union in terms of facilities and equipment for student activities, etc. Comrade Tran Duc Hoa, on behalf of the University Student Union, acknowledged the contributions and suggestions from the delegates attending the Conference.
During the personnel consultation session for the Executive Committee of the Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the second half of the 2016-2018 term, the delegates attending the conference showed high consensus in allowing members of the Executive Committee from the first half of the 2016-2018 term to withdraw and nominating new members to join the Executive Committee of the University's Student Union for the second half of the 2016-2018 term. In total, 16 new members joined the Executive Committee of the University's Student Union for the second half of the 2016-2018 term, including 4 new members appointed to the Secretariat of the University's Student Union.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Hua Thanh Hoa commended the thorough logistical preparation of the Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in organizing the mid-term personnel restructuring conference. She emphasized that members of the Executive Committee of the Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities should play a bridging role, communicating the plans and guidelines of the Student Union to students at their respective levels, while also compiling student feedback and suggestions for higher management levels. She also urged students to be proactive and creative in developing ideas and activity plans for the organization and the Union, leveraging their youthful energy and spirit of daring to think, act, and take responsibility, avoiding passivity within the organization. She also requested that the Student Union pay attention to continuity and succession when nominating and appointing personnel for the Executive Committee in subsequent terms. He also answered some questions raised by delegates during the discussion on behalf of the Student Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Professor Nguyen Van Kim, on behalf of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, congratulated the conference on its results, promising to forward the delegates' opinions to higher management levels and pledging that the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, and all levels of management of the university would provide maximum support for all activities of the Student Union. He emphasized that the Student Union needs to play a core role in transmitting and igniting the flame of enthusiasm and passion in each student, as well as promoting student counseling and support in academic, life, and emotional aspects, especially for students with difficult circumstances…
