During the meeting, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) introduced the main achievements in training, scientific research, and the main research directions of the University; emphasizing the goal of building a research university. According to the Rector, one of the prerequisites for establishing a research university is improving and strengthening the University's infrastructure, in order to create an open and modern university environment. Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh invited Dr. Nguyen Van Cuong to tour the University's infrastructure and propose suggestions for upgrading and supplementing the current campus.

Dr. Nguyen Van Cuong agreed with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh's assessment of the need to upgrade the infrastructure of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. According to Dr. Nguyen Van Cuong, the University can highlight its social sciences and humanities character by adding environmentally friendly elements such as trees, lakes, and lawns. At the same time, the University needs to upgrade its wireless network (Wifi) system to create convenience for research activities of staff, lecturers, and students. The highlight of the University will be the lecture hall area in Building G. Dr. Nguyen Van Cuong also reviewed the upcoming renovation plan for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and offered specific suggestions for each area and location within the University.

Hanoi University of Culture was established on March 26, 1959, according to Decision No. 134/VH-QD of the Ministry of Culture (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism). As the largest university under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, over the past 50 years, the university has trained tens of thousands of cultural officials currently working throughout the country. Most cultural officials in central and local government agencies are either former or current students of Hanoi University of Culture.
