According to the results of the third consultation, all 197 candidates from central agencies, organizations and units were approved by the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The Hanoi City Fatherland Front Committee approved a list of 38 people, including Standing Committee Member, Chairman of the Party Committee Inspection Committee, and Vice President of VNU Le Quan.See the list of 38 candidates here.
After the third consultative conference, agencies, organizations and units will organize meetings with voters for candidates to campaign for the election, starting from the date of announcement of the official list of candidates (April 27, 2016) and ending 24 hours before the start of voting (before 7:00 a.m. on May 21, 2016).
Previously, on March 9, 2016, VNU held a conference of voters at the workplace and an expanded conference of the leadership (key officials) to collect comments and trust for the candidates nominated for the 14th National Assembly (photo above). At both conferences,100% of the delegates present unanimously approved and voted to approve the list of 02 candidates for the 14th National Assembly: Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of VNU Phung Xuan Nha; Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Vice Director of VNU Le Quan.
Comrade Phung Xuan Nha was introduced as a candidate by the Politburo; Comrade Le Quan was introduced as a candidate by VNU according to the allocation quota of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City.
Brief biography of Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha:
Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan NhaBorn on June 3, 1963 in Phu Cu, Hung Yen. Joined the Communist Party of Vietnam in 1997. PhD in Economics, fluent in English. Awards: Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; Third-class Labor Medal; Title of Excellent Teacher; Honorary Doctorate of Moscow Power Engineering University (Russia) and Kinki University (Japan).
Minister Phung Xuan Nha graduated from Hanoi University of Science with a degree in Political Economy in 1985; Graduated from the Postgraduate Program in Development Economics at Manchester University, UK in 1994; Defended his doctoral thesis in World Economics and International Economic Relations at the Institute of World Economics, National Center for Social Sciences and Humanities in 1999, now the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences; Postdoctoral research (Fulbright Program) at Georgetown University, USA (2001-2002); Appointed to the title of Associate Professor in 2005.
Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha has nearly 30 years of experience teaching at home and abroad in the subjects of international economics, foreign investment and transnational corporations. Up to now, he has guided 9 PhD students, of whom 6 have successfully defended their doctoral theses and 16 have master's degrees; successfully chaired 02 State-level scientific research projects, 03 Ministry-level projects, 03 key and special projects at VNU; published 34 scientific articles in prestigious journals at home and abroad; published 12 books, including 02 textbooks, 05 monographs, 05 reference books, of which 03 are by independent authors, 02 are published in English.
Minister Phung Xuan Nha is currently the Head of the State-level Key Science and Technology Program for the 2013-2018 period "Science and technology for sustainable development of the Northwest region".

– September 1995 to January 1997: Deputy Head of Administration - Foreign Affairs Department (in charge of foreign affairs), University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU;

Brief biography of Deputy Director Le Quan:
Associate Professor, Dr. Le Quan was born in 1974 in Hanoi, his hometown is Quang Ngai; he is the youngest associate professor in economics (2009), foreign languages using English and French; Emulation fighter at the Ministry of Education and Training level; was appointed by the Prime Minister to hold the position of Vice President of VNU in 2014, in charge of personnel organization, legal inspection, international cooperation and domestic cooperation, and Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee.
VNU Vice President Le Quan graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1996 from the University of Commerce; a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the French-Vietnamese Center for Management (CFVG) in 1998; a master's degree in Management Science from Grenoble Business School (France) in 1999; a doctorate in Management Science from Toulon University (France) in 2003; a postdoctoral internship at Aix Marseille II University (France) in 2005.
Associate Professor, Dr. Le Quan has nearly 20 years of research, teaching and consulting on business administration, human resource management, strategic management, financial management, and projects; has successfully guided 8 PhDs (in Vietnam and France), over 50 masters; chaired 6 ministerial-level and equivalent projects, 01 state-level project; published more than 60 scientific articles in prestigious journals and conferences at home and abroad; authored and co-authored 11 books published domestically and in France, including highly appreciated books such as Vietnamese Business Leadership, Sales Staff Management, Techniques for Building a Salary System and Performance Evaluation, Operations Management, Human Resource Management; is the chief consultant for many restructuring and human resource management projects (VIB Bank, Chemical Corporation, Waterway Petroleum Transport Corporation, Transport and Logistics Joint Stock Company, EuroWindow, Thien Hoa An, Sieu Thanh...).
