"Save water for today and tomorrow."

The exhibition displays photographs reflecting the reality of water resources on Earth, the inadequacies in current water usage, and the health and environmental risks and hazards stemming from a lack of clean water. These photographs, with their authentic and emotionally rich perspectives, convey powerful messages to young people: the need to raise community awareness and take action to protect clean water resources, use water sparingly, and protect the environment for our present and future. The exhibition is divided into themes: Humanity and Water; The Reality of Water Pollution; Action for Us and the Future.

This event is in commemoration of World Tourism Day on September 27, 2013, with the theme “Tourism and Water: Protecting Our Future,” in line with the message from the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). World Tourism Day 2013 will highlight the responsibility of tourism and the commitment needed to preserve the world's precious water resources. Maldives is the host country for this year's World Tourism Day, with celebrations taking place on September 27. This year's World Tourism Day is considered a good opportunity to examine the challenges facing water management in tourism, and the measures being taken to protect water resources while still benefiting local communities in water-related tourist destinations.
