During the meeting, both sides reviewed the results of their cooperation in the past and discussed new opportunities for collaboration between AUF and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the coming years.
Affirming the policy of expanding international relations, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh stated: The University has officially signed cooperation agreements with 180 foreign partners. As one of the first universities in Vietnam to participate in the AUF network, the University always values its cooperative relationships with universities and research centers in the Francophone bloc. The University is currently successfully implementing joint Francophone training programs: Master of Hotel Management, Master of Child and Adolescent Development Psychology, and Master of Public Policy Management with the University of Toulouse II. In particular, to date, the Bachelor's program in Clinical Psychology in Francophone, with the support of AUF, has been developing for nearly 20 years, becoming a distinctive highlight of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, as well as among Francophone programs within the Vietnamese university system belonging to the AUF. In the near future, the University will propose to the Vietnam National University, Hanoi to open a high-quality Bachelor's program in Clinical Psychology.
The Rector also expressed sincere gratitude to AUF for its support to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities over the years. In the future, the University hopes to continue receiving AUF's support in: maintaining the effectiveness of existing Francophone joint training programs and developing new ones; implementing several research projects related to art studies, literary translation, film, and archival materials; and organizing international conferences with the participation of universities in the Francophone community.
Mr. Jean Charconnet affirmed his great impression of the University's achievements: "180 international partners is a large number, and through that, I highly appreciate the academic prestige of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities." He expressed his full support for the University to continue developing new French-language training programs, implementing research projects on art, and many other activities to promote the development of the French language in the university community.
The AUF Project Coordinator also shared information about an important project that AUF is interested in: establishing a university specializing in training highly qualified PhDs and researchers, with the participation of many universities. AUF hopes that the University's scientists will actively contribute ideas and participate in realizing this project in the future.
