Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa briefly introduced the history of development, training scale and international relations of the University. The University currently has official cooperation relations with more than 20 Thai universities such as Chukalongkon, Mahidol, Thamasat, Chiang Mai, Bangsomdejchaopraya Rajabhat, Ubon Rajathanee... The Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University also has a long tradition of research and training in Thai Studies in Vietnam. Every year, the University has been implementing student and lecturer exchanges with Thai universities. In the field of Tourism, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is also a leading and traditional training unit in Vietnam, training 100 students and dozens of graduate students every year. Due to being trained in broad, basic knowledge to enter specialized fields of Tourism Studies, graduates can adapt to many different job positions in the Tourism industry both domestically and internationally.
The delegation of Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-Ok also provided some information: RMUTTO is a university specializing in science and technology, providing undergraduate and postgraduate training in the fields of: agriculture and natural resources; science and technology; social sciences and humanities; business administration and information technology, tourism studies, arts, engineering, architecture, medicine... The school has nearly 12,000 students and nearly 500 lecturers.
At the end of the meeting, the leaders of the two universities affirmed that there are many opportunities and prospects for cooperation between the two universities, especially in the field of Tourism Studies. In the coming time, the two sides will promote steps to establish an official cooperation relationship between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and RMUTTO.
