The Association has widely promoted the Association among staff and students, mobilized individuals and units in the school to participate in the Association; raised awareness of the Association and its role for staff and students in the school, and attracted many members to participate in the activities of the School's Sports Clubs.
Besides, the sports clubs in the school are improved and operate stably.
The Badminton Club has about 20 members participating regularly in 2013, attracting students from other schools (Policy Management Academy, University of Construction...). The Club organized a Badminton friendly match with staff from the Youth Academy (September 2013), and a friendly match with Daejin University (Korea) in October 2013.
The football club for officials has 30 members and is the club that practices and practices most regularly, actively participating in competitions and friendly matches with units inside and outside VNU such as: football competition of Construction College No. 1, Ministry of Construction; participating in the football competition of VNU in 2013, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Government's decree on VNU (December 10, 1993 - December 10, 2013) and winning 3rd prize; friendly football matches with other units such as VNU Office, University of Foreign Languages - VNU, Faculty of International Studies - VNU, Institute of Oncology - Thanh Nhan Hospital, Northern Coal Corporation, Library Information Center - Security Academy, Alumni of the Faculty of International Studies, Alumni of the Faculty of Social Sciences...
The Tennis Club regularly practices and participates in tournaments organized by VNU and the industry. In 2013, it participated in the tournament celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Government's Decree on VNU and won third prize.
The Cheerleading Club has nearly 30 members participating in training and competition. The club has performed at the Opera House (October 2); participated in the Uleague 2013 tournament (October 6, 2013 - November 6, 2013), won the Northern Cheerleading Championship, Third Prize in the national competition in Ho Chi Minh City; performed for events of the Sports Center of Ba Dinh District, Hanoi; participated in recording for the S-Vietnam program; participated in performing at the Exhibition of the Conference on Commercialization of Science and Technology Products in the series of activities to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Government's Decree on Hanoi National University (November 29); participated in recording for VTC10 television station on the topic of cheerleading...
With the aim of promoting the spirit of sports training and contributing to improving the health of staff, the School Sports Association coordinated with the School Union Executive Committee to organize Yoga and Sports Dance classes with nearly 60 staff participating.
The Sports Association also coordinated with the Youth Union and the Student Association to organize the 2013 Men's Student Football Tournament, the "Vietnamese Youth" Festival; participated in the Literature - Sports - Arts Student Tournament organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, won 2 first prizes, and represented the North in the national competition.
In 2014, the School Sports Association will focus on the following main activities:
- Gradually develop clubs, promote and recruit more members to join.
- Increase training to improve health, entertainment, and communication to better serve the teaching, learning, scientific research, and other activities of faculty and students in the whole school.
- Organize exchanges with units and clubs outside the school.
- Coordinate with the Youth Union - Student Association of the School to organize the 2014 Female Student Football Tournament (expected in March 2014).
- Organize badminton tournaments of the club or exchange with other units and clubs.
- Cheerleading Club participated in the 2014 American Student Sports and Literature Competition.
