On January 14, 2013, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities hosted a meeting and exchange with a delegation of faculty, staff, and students from Mae Fah Luang University (Thailand), led by Dr. Sirirung Wongsakul, a lecturer from the Faculty of Technology and Agriculture.

This visit by the delegation to the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities is part of the ASEAN Camp program aimed at exchanging experiences with lecturers and students from ASEAN countries.

Attending the exchange session were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh - Vice Rector of the University, and representatives from the Youth Union and Student Association of the University.

On behalf of the University's leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh delivered a welcoming speech to the delegation from Mae Fah Luang University (Thailand) visiting the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh emphasized that Thailand is a strategic partner of Vietnam and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has had good cooperative relations with many Thai universities: Mahidol, Chulalongkorn, Silpakorn, etc.

During the exchange, faculty, staff, and students from both universities had the opportunity to meet and share experiences in various activities: studying, research, organizing extracurricular programs, etc.

Mae Fah Luang University was established in September 1998 under the Royal Charter of Thailand as a public, autonomous university. Located in northern Thailand, the university uses English as the primary language of instruction and learning at all levels. It currently has approximately 11,000 students, offering 33 undergraduate programs, 26 master's programs, and 15 doctoral programs in social sciences and technology. Notably, all programs are taught in English. Currently, Mae Fah Luang University has over 400 international students from more than 23 countries worldwide.

This exchange program between the two universities is of great significance in bringing ASEAN students from all over the world closer together to share professional knowledge.
